It's Friday, eh?
The two splashes of red compliment the Kousa dogwood. They volunteered to add bold color to the fall backdrop. The Japanese maples love it here, so much so that we're constantly pulling seedlings from the garden beds. .
So tomorrow when we (my assumed help, the boyfriend doesn't know he is going to get to use the chainsaw, he will love, it he has to love it, no choice) I am going to start by rearranging these fallen limbs that run parallel to the house. At first I wanted to put them along the path ... but I kind of like how there is no definite path, and therefore don't want to line it, but after writing all of that, I think that visitors for whatever reason would like the path more if it was defined. I feel comfortable on "the path" but I know it, I know it.
So now the plans are back to the original: line the path. The indecision kills me because the more I look the more I love the fallen leaves. But... 'tis the season (for fallen leaves to look so spectacular. One of my favorite parts of this borrowed backdrop is the rock at the middle left. Removing the old, sogging, (TERRIBLE feng shui) log/branch/things will help bring this littlebig rock into the picture. I feel like I probably never noticed this rock until this year because of The Boulder that rests up the hill from it. Now, I am listening to She's A Bad Mama Jama remix.

The funniest thing about finally writing a blog entry after putting it off every night for an entire week is that the pictures I posted (from the mobile app, which doesn't allow for much editing for aesthetic purposes etc,) seem to say everything for me. I am listening to j.mp/ifyareallyloveme. Goodnight.
